Prof. Henryk Skarżyński has received the title of the Ambassador of the Welconomy’s 25 Years

On 12 and 13 March 2018, in Torun, in the Cultural and Congress Center Jordanki took place the 25th, jubilee edition of the economic congress „Welconomy Forum”. During the Gala, which took place on 12 March, 7 persons have received special distinctions, including Prof. Henryk Skarżyński. The awards received also: Minister Artur Balazs, Minister Krzysztof Tchórzewski, Deputy Prime Minister Janusz Tomaszewski, prof. Jerzy Buzek, red. Andrzej Jonas and chairman Walerian Szułczyński.

The title „Welconomy Ambassador” is awarded for extraordinary achievements, integration skills and cooperation in various areas of life, it is awarded to people contributing to the improvement of Poland’s economic status. It is also granted to people who for many years support the organization of the Economic Forum and jointly realize the mission of the „Welconomy Forum” – integration and cooperation.

In the previous quarter-century the award “Welconomy Ambassador” has been awarded to Prof. Bronisław Geremek, Prof. Zbigniew Religa, Prof. Stefan Meller, Prime Minister Józef Oleksy and others.

This year, the „Welconomy Forum” was a meeting of more than 2000 representatives of business, science, politics, self-government and media. The dominant topic of discussion was the economic condition of Poland compared to the European Union and the world. Discussion panels, meeting and lectures addressed also the prospects of development for our country.

The Forum is addressed to all persons and companies interested in economic cooperation with Poland, or purchasing Polish goods and services. However, more and more attention is given to Polish science. The „Welconomy Forum” creates the opportunity of making new contacts that in future may results in signing new trade contracts and agreements of scientific collaboration.
