On 6th of April 2012, during the 32nd Convention of Doctors of the Regional Medical Chamber in Warsaw, Prof. Henryk Skarżyński – the director of the World Hearing Center of the Institute of Physiology and Pathology of Hearing – was awarded with the Medal of the Regional Medical Chamber named after Prof. Jan Nielubowicz.
During the ceremony, Dr Mieczysław Szatanek – the president of the Regional Medical Chamber in Warsaw – underlined that Prof. H. Skarżyński has been awarded for his outstanding, long-term professional and scientific activity, and significant involvement into cooperation with the Medical Council.
Medal named after Prof. Jan Nielubowicz, the patron of the Regional Medical Chamber in Warsaw, has been handed since year 2012, and is the highest award within the medical community of Warsaw. It is given to doctors and dentists, as well as other people, for their outstanding merits for the medical community.
