Prof. Henryk Skarzynski has been awarded the title of the Honorary Polish Congress Ambassador and the diploma in recognition of his services in promoting Poland as a place to organize international congresses. This distinction has been bestowed during the International Poznan Fair on November 15th 2012, by the Convention Bureau of Poland of the Polish Tourism Organization and the Conferences and Congresses in Poland Association.
The program of Polish Congress Ambassadors has been established 10 years ago, as a means of recognition for the efforts and dedication in aid of organizing international congresses and conferences in Poland. This distinction is aimed at honoring individuals who actively and with particular dedication seek out and win new congresses for Poland.
Prof. H. Skarzynski in his twenty years of education and research activities has been an originator, initiator and organizer of more than 200 congresses, symposia, workshops and conferences organized for medical as well as scientific environment. Many of them were the unique on a global scale meetings of the world-known experts. Thanks to Prof. H. Skarzynski’s commitment Poland has been entrusted with organizing two continental scientific congresses: 9th European Symposium on Paediatric Cochlear Implantation and the 10th EFAS (European Federation of Audiology Societies) Congress, with attendance of thousands of researchers, physicians, experts and students.
This award honors Prof. Henryk Skarzynski’s contribution to the progress and promotion of Polish science and medicine in the world.
