The degree of realism of simulation can vary, from case studies and educational games to virtual patient computer systems, dummies and training simulators for gaining practical skills, to advanced patient simulators allowing a very realistic reproduction of clinical scenarios, or finally, the use of standardized patients. Introduction of this teaching method will allow to learn how to apply the acquired theoretical knowledge in practice.
