On 27–28 May 2019, the 28th Reporting and Electoral Forum of the Research Institutes took place. A total of 112 electors selected by the scientific councils of research institutes as well as guests participated in the debates.
On the first day of the meeting, discharge was granted to the Council for the past 3-year term of office, and a new Main Council and Audit Committee were elected. Prof. Henryk Skarżyński was re-elected as a member of the Main Council of the Research Institutes.
It is worth reminding that the Main Council of the Research Institutes represents the interests of the community of research institutes to national authorities, local authorities, scientific, economic and social organisations as well as opinion multipliers. It is involved in the economic and social policy, especially that related to science and innovations. It submits opinions and proposals to the authorities and public administration, takes actions aimed at solving universal problems in the community of institutes, as well as at the development of science, improvement of innovativeness and effectiveness of economies, and development of research staff, especially young scientists.
