The Gala of Leaders, closing the 6th edition of the Leaders of National Healthcare System Contest, took place on May 17, 2012, in Marriott Hotel.
The Institute of Physiology and Pathology of Hearing and the Institute of Sensory Organs won the title of Golden Leader, in the category of Innovative Ideas in Healthcare, for the screening device – Senses Examination Platform. Prof. Henryk Skarzyński accepted the award.
– We are all aware how important are hearing, speech and vision in a process of communication. Disorders of any of these senses, undetected early enough, may negatively affect the development of a child and cause the isolation. Thanks to the various screening tests implemented on the Platform the dysfunctions within these senses can be relatively easy detected. The Platform has been developed thanks to the hard work and passion of few young scientists from the Institute of Physiology and Pathology of Hearing and the Institute of Sensory Organs. They should be congratulated – said Prof. H. Skarzyński while accepting the award.
