  • Professor Henryk Skarzynski at 4th Congress of Innovative Economy

    4th Congress of the Innovative Economy was held on June 25th – 26th 2013 in the Copernicus Science Centre in Warsaw, under the honorary patronage of the President of Poland H.E. Bronislaw Komorowski. The Polish Chamber of Commerce organized the event, creating an open platform to exchange opinions among all participants-beneficiaries of pro-innovative activities in Poland.   • Professor Henryk Skarzynski at the Second World Congress of Polish Engineers

    The Second World Congress of Polish Engineers was held on 26th -28th June 2013 in Warsaw, under the patronage of the President of Poland H.E. Bronisław Komorowski. It was organized jointly by the Warsaw University of Technology, Polish Federation of Engineering Associations NOT, Council of Polish Engineers in North America and European Federation of Polish Scientific and Technological Societies 

  • Professionals of Forbes chosen

    On 29 of May, 2013, at the gala ceremony in Polonia Palace Hotel in Warsaw, the Professionals of Forbes 2013 from Mazovia Region were announced. The Forbes Magazine pursued a contest which enabled the magazine’s readers to choose the best advocates, actors, physicians and solicitors from the Mazovian Voivodship.  In the category “physician” , the second in the ranking of Professionals of Forbes 

  • The 7th Conference of Audiology and Phoniatrics Sections in Lodz

    Instrumental methods of voice testing, principles of prevention and rehabilitation of hearing, voice and speech disorders, malfunctions of the communication process and articulation, modern methods of audiological diagnostics – these were some of the most significant topics covered during the 7th Conference of Audiology and Phoniatrics Sections of the Polish Society of Oto-Rhino-Laryngologists and Head 

  • 4th International Scientific -Training Conference “Listening is: I can…”

    4th International Scientific -Training Conference “Listening is: I can. Auditory-Verbal Therapy. All Roads Lead to the Brain.” took place in the World Hearing Center of the Institute of Physiology and Pathology of Hearing in Kajetany on May 16-17, 2013. In the conference participated more than 100 specialists in rehabilitation of deaf and hearing impaired children from the whole Poland, as well as parents and 

  • Awards for two telemedical systems of the Institute of Physiology and Pathology of Hearing received at EUROINVENT 2013 in Romania

    The 5th European Exhibition of Creativity and Innovation EUROINVENT 2013 took place on May 9th – 11th, 2013, in the university city of Iasi, Romania. During the exhibition the jury assessed presented inventions. The Institute of Physiology and Pathology of Hearing submitted for the competition two solutions in the field of telemedicine, developed by the specialists from the Institute: 

  • Winners of Prof. Zbigniew Religa Competition Announced

    The Foundation for Children „Help on Time”, on the motion of patients, bestowed the awards and distinctions in the Prof. Zbigniew Religa Competition for the outstanding physicians and exemplary health care institutions. The gala took place on May 14th, 2013 in the Porczynski Gallery. During the ceremony have been presented also the Distinctions and Special Awards. Luster to the ceremony added the 

  • LION 2013 – Live International Otolaryngology Network

    On May 16th, 2013 took place the LION: the 8th Global Otology – Neurotology Live Surgical Broadcast, presenting the newest surgical techniques in otolaryngology and neurootology. During each LION meeting are presented more than 30 ‘life’ surgeries performed by the best otosurgeons in global leading centers in Brazil, Australia, Turkey, Spain, the Netherlands, Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and in Poland.   • Pilot program of hearing screening for Romanian children

    Romania is the next country where the specialists from the Institute of Physiology and Pathology of Hearing conducted a pilot program of hearing tests for children. On 7th and 8th May, 2013, several specialists from the Institute, together with a Romanian partner dr Madalina Georgescu, director of the Medical Center OTOMED and national member of the European Federation of 

  • Medals named after Prof. Jan Nielubowicz has been awarded

    On 6th of April 2012, during the 32nd Convention of Doctors of the Regional Medical Chamber in Warsaw, Prof. Henryk Skarżyński – the director of the World Hearing Center of the Institute of Physiology and Pathology of Hearing – was awarded with the Medal of the Regional Medical Chamber named after Prof. Jan Nielubowicz. During the ceremony, Dr Mieczysław Szatanek 

  • Prof. Henryk Skarżyński awarded with Viribus Unitis medal

    “10 years with passion” – this is the motto of this year’s celebration of the Confidence Award “Gold OTIS”. The jubilee gala took place in „Rezydencja Belweder-Klonowa” hotel in Warsaw, on 10th of April 2013. This year, the patients participating in the plebiscite have chosen 25 – best in their opinion – products OTC (available in pharmacies without prescriptions) in 23 categories. 

  • Prof. Skarzynski named 2nd most infuential person in polish healthcare system

    For the 11th time the experts of the journal ‘Puls Medycyny’ have named the 100 most influential individuals in the Polish healthcare. In this year’s edition of the ranking Prof. H. Skarżyński holds honorable, second position. His notable achievements and significant contributions to the development of the health care in Poland assure his place in the lead of that ranking every 

  • International training course Window Approach Workshop WAW

    February 11-12, 2013 at the World Hearing Center of the Institute of Physiology and Pathology of Hearing in Kajetany took place international course – Window Approach Workshop (WAW). The novelty of the 14th edition of the workshop were lectures and training with pioneer BONEBRIDGE hearing implant system. The first such an operation was carried out on December 19, 

  • Professor Henryk Skarzynski named Personality of the Year 2012

    The final of the thirteenth edition of the Leaders of the Year in Healthcare Competition was held in the Royal Castle in Warsaw on January 16, 2013. During the Gala which was honored by the Chief of National Health Fund and Deputy Ministers of the National Defense and Health, Professor Henryk Skarzynski received a special award – Personality of the Year 

  • Prestigious Prix Galien award for the Institute

    In Warsaw, the inaugural edition of the prestigious Prix Galien Poland competition was completed. It is one of the most important competitions in the world, rewarding most innovative breakthroughs in pharmacy, medicine and the wide field of health care for 43 years. This symbolic inclusion of achievements of the Polish pharmaceutical market and medical research to the scientific world

    Please note that due to the gradual relocation of hospital and ambulatory activities of Institute of Physiology and Pathology of Hearing located at 1 Zgrupowania “AK” Kampinos Street in Warsaw, all patients enrolled for medical appointment in Warsaw, will be admitted on the same dates in the Institute in Kajetany, 17 Mokra Street (near Nadarzyn).     From 7.02.2013, all scheduled visits 

  • Pioneering BONEBRIDGE implantation

    First in Poland operation of a pioneering auditory implant called BONEBRIDGE has been conducted on December 19, 2012 by prof. Henryk Skarzynski in the World Hearing Center, Kajetany. BONEBRIDGE device has been implanted for the first time in 2012, only in 9 centers in the world. The surgical procedure performed in the World Hearing Center’s clinic has begun a new era in treatment of congenital hearing impairments 

  • 5th INTERNATIONAL COURSE IN THE ENDOSCOPIC SINUS SURGERY

    In the World Hearing Center, on February 20th – 22nd,  took place the 5th International Course in the Endoscopic Sinus Surgery, the only one in Poland and one of the few in Europe courses in this field combined with the hands-on training on the fresh-frozen head specimens.
